At the Moog School - Columbia, we provide speech and language evaluations for deaf and hard-of-hearing children under age seven, and make educational recommendations. After the testing, our evaluation team meets with parents to discuss their child's strengths and weaknesses and to help identify ways to improve the child's school program. Visiting our school program can also be helpful to parents in learning how we work with our children and what can be expected for children similar to their child.
Our speech and langugage evaluation can help parents learn:
- How their child is doing
- How their child compares with others
- What level skills their child has
- What services to ask for
- How their child can get the most out of school
